Adhesion

The adhesion, or the more frequently used term of adhesive strength, basically mean the strength by which a binder can be compounded with the different mineral aggregates.
The quantity of the corresponding adhesion strength is subjected to the properties of the kind of binder and mineral aggregates to be combined.

Adhesion tests

Nationwide the number of damages of asphalt pavements as a result of a lack of adhesion properties of bitumen to the rock is increasing. Therefore TE is increasingly being used if the use of acidic rocks because of regional dependencies can be expected.
